Colorado in the summer✨Things I’ve noticed

To end off my July, I’ve traveled to Colorado. From camping at Jackson Lake State Park to staying in Commerce City it’s all been beautiful.

It is hot, but it’s nothing compared to the temperatures in the city I live. Here’s some things I’ve noticed about being in Colorado:

1. A lot of people are very friendly and talkative in certain areas

2. You can go from modern neighborhoods to open land and farms within minutes.

3. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful and have yet to fail my camera roll

4. It’s a bit of a drive to get to a specific grocery store

5. There are so many stars that you can see clearly

6. There’s tons of bugs whether you use a repellent or not

7. Food is a hit or miss

8. It’s harder to breathe do to higher elevation

9. It gets windy in the middle of the night

10. It’s still cold enough to need a jacket at night

Have you been to this beautiful state in the summer? If so what was your experience? #summervibes #lemon8contest

... Read moreSummer in Colorado offers a diverse experience that combines natural beauty with unique regional characteristics. Many travelers find the state's blend of modern and rural landscapes particularly captivating. From the peaceful surroundings of Jackson Lake State Park to the urban vibe of Commerce City, you can enjoy a wide range of environments within short driving distances. One key feature of Colorado summers is the stunning quality of light during sunrises and sunsets. Photographers and nature lovers alike are drawn to the vibrant hues that make every moment picture perfect. Additionally, the night sky in Colorado is remarkably clear, offering incredible stargazing opportunities thanks to the low light pollution across many areas. Due to Colorado's high elevation, visitors often notice that breathing can be more difficult, especially for those not acclimated to altitudes above 5,000 feet. This can affect physical activity and general comfort, so it is recommended to stay hydrated and take it easy during the first days of your visit. The weather can also be quite variable, with warm daytime temperatures contrasting with chilly nights that require jackets. Winds picking up especially at night is common and part of the regional climate, so preparing for changing conditions is essential. While exploring local food options, visitors may find mixed experiences. Some local eateries offer unique mountain-inspired dishes, but overall satisfaction can vary. Moreover, insects are abundant during summer months, so using insect repellent is advisable even if it doesn't always guarantee complete protection. Lastly, the friendliness of Colorado residents is notable, particularly in less urbanized areas where conversations flow easily. Whether you’re camping, hiking, or just enjoying the views, the welcoming atmosphere is part of what makes summer trips to Colorado memorable.
