The gukbap you didn’t know you needed in Seongsu 🥺🐖

📍Anmok Seongsu | 🇰🇷

🍲 Mixed Meat Gukbap - ₩13,500

this gukbap was so warm and comforting. it was so good and i think it would be even better on a cold day. the mixed meat gukbap consists of sliced meat and pork head meat. pork head meat has a bit of a crunchy texture, similar to cartilage. however, if pork head meat is not for you, there is an option of just pork slices, which is slightly cheaper. personally, i feel that you have to add the chilli paste into the soup to elevate the taste.

⭐️ 8.7/10

🧸 this restaurant has the Michelin Bib Gourmand award and i definitely think it is worth the hype. i will definitely have this meal again when i am back in korea. ~ 🐾

... Read moreIf you're exploring Seoul's vibrant food scene, trying gukbap in Seongsu is a must. Gukbap, a traditional Korean soup with rice, offers a hearty and fulfilling meal, especially with the mixed meats like sliced pork and pork head meat that provide a satisfying variety of textures and flavors. The pork head meat, with its slightly crunchy cartilage-like bite, adds an interesting dimension to the dish that contrasts beautifully with the tender meat slices. If that texture isn't to your liking, you can easily opt for the simpler pork slice version, which still delivers rich flavor. Adding chili paste to the soup is highly recommended, as it elevates the broth's taste with a subtle spicy kick, balancing the savory richness. This meal is especially comforting during colder months, providing warmth and nourishment in each spoonful. The Michelin Bib Gourmand designation of this restaurant in Anmok Seongsu speaks volumes about the quality and authenticity of its offerings. It’s not just a meal but an experience worth repeating whenever you return to Korea. Such recognition also reassures visitors to the culinary standards and exceptional value they will receive here. Personally, I found the ambiance of the place welcoming and the service attentive. The price point around ₩13,500 makes it an accessible option for anyone wanting to explore authentic Korean comfort food without overspending. Whether you're dining solo or with friends, the mixed meat gukbap at Anmok Seongsu offers a memorable taste of Seoul’s culinary heritage that keeps you coming back for more.

This is the golden standard for Gukbap 😌 We’ve tried ANAM before, but I think this place does it even better 💖 The broth is light and refreshing, making it super easy to enjoy 😗 Though the soup looks clear, it’s much more flavorful than it looks! 💯 I really appreciate the thinly sliced pork a

A side branch of Sagye that offers a more selected curation of their menu, with a less crowded shop to try their food without the long queue. Not pictured are the buldak stew and the gukbap. I ordered the spicy chicken sotbap and the bossam. To be honest, the rice is the highlight here. pressure
