I love being a MOM 💖 #soccer #boymom #dayinmylife #rgv #fyp
Being a mom who is also deeply involved in her child's sports journey takes a lot of dedication and multitasking skills. From early morning practices to late-night homework help, managing the various roles of mom, coach, and student can be both challenging and rewarding. I’ve found that setting a consistent daily schedule helps me keep everything on track, especially on busy days that stretch from about 5:15 AM to 8:30 PM, covering soccer training sessions, school responsibilities, and family needs. Coaching my son’s soccer team not only strengthens our bond but also teaches valuable life skills like teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. In addition to the physical activities, I make sure to stay involved academically and personally by being a lifelong learner and a 'jack of all trades.' This means constantly adapting and learning new things, whether it's new coaching strategies or balancing household tasks. It’s also important to carve out moments to celebrate small victories, as this keeps the entire family motivated. Living in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) has given me a supportive community that values family and youth sports, further enriching our experiences. Through sharing my journey as a #boymom and passionate coach, I hope to connect with other parents who understand the joys and challenges of raising active kids. If you’re a parent navigating similar roles, remember it’s okay to ask for help, prioritize self-care, and embrace every moment—even the chaotic ones—as part of a fulfilling family life.
