Creative director Sabato De Sarno stayed the course, showing more Ancora red leather, sporty tailoring, lingerie looks, horsebit accessories and nods to famous Gucci customer of yore Jacqueline Kennedy.
The muse was Jackie O, a Gucci client way back when and global style icon to this day, one who’s inspired countless designers over the decades.
“When I made my research in the archive I found someone describe her style as ‘casual grandeur.’ These words stayed with me for my creative period,” Sabato De Sarno explained to Vogue.
The Kennedy clan is freshly relevant—Ryan Murphy just announced he’s producing a new TV show about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy—so the Jackie link was a bit of synchronicity.
After seeing the Gucci Spring 2025 collection, I'm absolutely buzzing with inspiration! Sabato De Sarno's homage to Jackie O really shone through, giving us that 'casual grandeur' he spoke about. And those white pointed-toe heels with delicate ankle straps featuring the Gucci logo? They are the ultimate statement shoe, adding a touch of luxury to any outfit. I also can't get enough of the vibrant pieces. The lime green patterned jacket, matching mini skirt, bucket hat, handbag, and heels were such a playful explosion of color. It reminded me that fashion should be fun! Wearing a bold color like that can instantly elevate your mood and your outfit. And speaking of accessories, the iconic white belt with a silver interlocking 'GG' buckle is a must-have for cinching waists and adding that signature Gucci touch. I also spotted a gorgeous white Gucci handbag with an embossed 'GG' pattern, a prominent 'GG' logo clasp, and a gold chain strap, which is a classic that will never go out of style.
