🌟Backstory: Took me over 3 years to get a consistent skincare routine! When I was 11 years old I started to notice some acne on my face, and it wasn’t until my freshman year of high school that I started to wash my face twice everyday. I have very oily skin and the acne that I have is very mild, but when I fall off my routine I do see a sudden increase in pimples. I’ve been on that face wash listed above for 3 years now consistently and it has helped so much. In colder seasons it does dry me out a little too much where I have some flaky skin around my mouth, but I just use extra hydration products such as the 🛍Brand: pounds moisture and the 🛍Brand:elemis balm that works just fine to prevent flakes. During the summer time I use oil free makeup
🌟I would say what helped me get to where I am now is by doing lots of research about my face. Everyone’s skin is very different and reacts to certain products in different ways. For example, many people buy popular products such as 🛍Brand:Glow. While the packaging is very pretty and smells very nice, this product does not work for my face because my skin does not react well to products with scents infused into them. Similarly, the product 🛍Brand: gleamin, my mom cannot use the serum because it includes vitamin C which causes her face to breakout. However, it does not cause my face to breakout which is why I use it. Also eating has a very close relation to breakouts. Dairy and sugars are foods that cause the most breakouts so it’s always good to document what you’re eating to see what’s causing breakouts. Lastly, what helped me the most to control break outputs was birth control. The week before my period I would get so many pimples on my cheeks which you can see on the second slide. I was scared to take birth control because of the side effects but it has helped so much with acne control.
