A lot of women stay because they’re holding onto the version of love they hoped they’d get, not the reality they’re living in. Sometimes it’s fear of starting over, sometimes it’s history, sometimes it’s believing the good moments mean more than the painful ones. For me, it took realizing that love isn’t supposed to break you down daily. The moment I finally chose myself was when I stopped recognizing who I was trying to “make it work.” That’s when I knew I deserved better.

I think a lot stay because they don’t know how to live life without their partner. Maybe they rely on them financially etc. maybe they have children, or maybe they are scared to start over. There could be many reasons
