This allows you to see who is at your door before opening it, providing an extra layer of safety. Additionally, invest in a doorstop or security bar to reinforce your doors, making unauthorized access more challenging. Always remember to lock your doors and windows, even when you're home—especially at night or if you’re in another room. Motion sensor lights can also deter intruders when placed near entryways or balconies. Building a rapport with your neighbors can prove invaluable; friendly eyes nearby can assist in looking out for each other. Keeping your curtains closed at night not only ensures privacy but also prevents outsiders from tracking your daily routine. By implementing these solo apartment safety tips, you can enjoy your space confidently and securely.

I accidentally broke my parents door with that stopper cuz they put it behind and I opened full strength when I got home from work 😭 but at least it will be loud and let you know someone is intruding into your space 😭
