First time making Okra stew

After scrolling mindlessly on TikTok and trying to figure out what to eat I came across a mirage of recipes from West Africa.

I love Nigerian food and I thought it looked easy enough so I decided to try it.

I used blended shallots, garlic, green peppers, lots of fresh okra, jalapeรฑos, cilantro, tomatoes, and onions.

Then I took the remainder of the okra and added it to a little bit of water and chicken stock. And thatโ€™s it. Def not super authentic but as close as I thought I could make it.

It came out a little too watery at first so I just let it sit for longer and added more okra to be more stew-like.
