things I loved in Shanghai

2/1 Edited to

... Read moreDuring my visit to Shanghai, I was truly captivated by the blend of traditional charm and modern vibrancy that the city offers. One of my favorite experiences was exploring the peaceful area known as Little Watertown, which feels like stepping into a dreamy postcard with its quaint waterways and historical ambiance. It’s a great spot to slow down and appreciate the city’s depth beyond the usual hustle. Food also played a major role in my fond memories. The Tang Dynasty banquet lunch I had was absolutely worth it — an elegant meal that showcases classic Chinese flavors in a setting inspired by imperial history. It’s not just about eating but immersing yourself in culture and traditions through cuisine. I also stumbled upon a cute shop on Wukang Road selling adorable trinkets and clothes that perfectly captured Shanghai’s unique style: a mix of playful, trendy, and nostalgic. It’s places like this that make wandering through Shanghai’s neighborhoods so rewarding. Of course, the weather was a lovely complement to the trip. Comfortable enough to enjoy outdoor strolls, it made selfie moments with my digicam even more enjoyable! Overall, my Shanghai experience was filled with wonderful sights, tastes, and discoveries that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore a city with rich history and lively streets.
