is it bad to switch therapists???

I used to feel so guilty for wanting to switch therapists. I thought it meant I wasn’t serious about healing or that I was just running away from the hard stuff.

But what I learned is that therapy works best when you actually feel safe with the person guiding you. Sometimes that means trying more than one therapist until you find the right fit — and that’s okay.

If you’ve ever switched therapists, how did you know it was time?

People often see therapists as the calm ones. The grounded ones. The ones who always know what to say. And while we are trained to hold space for others… we are still human underneath the role. We carry emotions too. We experience stress, grief, burnout, disappointment, and overwhelm too. We sit
