I’ve been making my home dirtier unknowingly 🥹

I've realized that some everyday cleaning habits can actually backfire, making our homes dirtier instead of cleaner. For example, using too much soap when mopping might seem thorough, but it leaves a sticky residue that attracts even more dirt and footprints. To avoid this, I now follow the recommended soap-to-water ratio or use the two-bucket method — one with soapy water and the other with clean water to rinse. It really makes a difference in keeping my floors looking fresh longer. Another thing I struggled with was putting away dishes before they were fully dry. At first, I thought stacking them quickly saved time, but I noticed a musty smell and sometimes even mold in my cabinets. Switching to air drying or using a clean cloth to dry them completely before storing has helped keep my kitchen smelling clean and bacteria-free. Lastly, I used to place my bags on the dining table when coming home, thinking it was convenient. I didn’t realize this spreads germs and dirt from public places onto the dining area where we eat. Now, I always set my bags down in a designated spot away from food prep and make sure to sanitize the table before meals. These small changes have helped me maintain a healthier, cleaner home environment, and I highly recommend giving them a try!
