Wednesday Devotion
In the journey of faith, understanding the concept of glory is vital. The scripture, particularly from 2 Corinthians, emphasizes that as believers, we are not just saved but are being progressively transformed into the image of Christ. This transformation signifies a continuous process, where the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role in our sanctification. In Exodus 34, we observe Moses' face shining after encountering God, a powerful image illustrating the effect of divine glory. However, Paul notes that believers have an even greater experience through the New Covenant. This ministry of the Spirit provides a righteousness that surpasses the old covenant, offering not just momentary reflection but a permanent transformation. As we engage in devotion, we should reflect on our own experiences with God's presence. How have we encountered His glory in our lives? The question invites us to seek a deeper relationship and to recognize that this glory is not reliant on our actions or performance but is a work of the Holy Spirit within us. Use this Wednesday devotion not just as a ritual but as a reminder that every day, we can express gratitude for the change happening inside us. Pray and ask God to reveal His glory, and be open to the profound changes He desires to bring into your life. Recognize that through His Spirit, we are empowered to shine and reflect His image more fully, living out the truth of being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory.
