I just finished 'The Perfect Putt' by Annah Conwell, and honestly, it's one of those books that just sticks with you! What I loved most about diving into this golf romance book is how perfectly it captures the essence of a sweet, closed-door romance. As someone who's always on the hunt for engaging closed-door romance books for adults, this one truly hit the mark. The story of Miles, the professional golfer, and his assistant, Ellie, unfolds beautifully in a charming Florida coastal town. It’s not just about the picturesque golf course scenes; it’s about their genuine connection, the witty banter, and the slow-burn build-up that makes your heart flutter. I loved seeing the cover on my e-reader, picturing the couple embracing, and soaking in the beach vibes that the setting provides. It truly felt like a mini-vacation! For those wondering, 'closed-door romance' means the focus is heavily on emotional intimacy, character development, and the journey of falling in love, with any intimate scenes happening discreetly, "behind closed doors." It’s perfect for readers who appreciate a deep, meaningful connection and a story that prioritizes emotional depth over explicit details. This style really allowed me to get lost in Miles and Ellie's evolving relationship, and it felt incredibly cozy and rewarding. The golf theme adds such a unique and refreshing twist. It's not just a backdrop; it's integral to Miles's world and creates some truly fun and interesting dynamics as Ellie navigates his professional life. It adds a layer of shared passion and challenge that you might not find in other romance subgenres. Annah Conwell truly has a knack for weaving the sport into the narrative in a way that feels authentic and exciting, making it a standout among golf romance books. If you loved the cozy, feel-good vibes of 'The Perfect Putt' and are now looking for more closed-door romance books for adults, I highly recommend exploring authors who excel at character-driven plots and strong emotional arcs. Look for stories set in charming, unique locations – perhaps another sports romance, or even a small-town romance. The key is finding books where the characters’ journey of discovery and connection is at the forefront. This book reminded me how much I cherish finding a romance that leaves me with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a big smile. It’s definitely a testament to how fulfilling a good golf romance book, especially a closed-door one, can be!
