Rating my running shoes as a girlie with plantar fasciitis 🏃🏼♀️💨✨🫡
As someone who's struggled with plantar fasciitis, finding the right running shoe can truly make or break your experience. I’ve tested several brands and models, and it’s clear that support and cushioning are non-negotiable. For example, the Brooks Glycerin Max stood out for me as the "best shoe ever" during marathon training because of its exceptional arch support, which prevented pain during long-distance runs. On the other hand, the On Cloudnova X quickly became my everyday shoe thanks to its comfort and underrated style—it’s perfect for casual wear and short runs but might lack the support needed for intense training. The On Cloudmonster is great for walks, although I noticed my arches start hurting on runs, indicating it may not be the best long-run shoe if you have plantar fasciitis. I also tried the On Cloudboom Max and Brooks Ghost Max 3, both providing decent support, but I found that my arches could start hurting on longer runs with these models. It’s important to pay attention to how your feet feel during and after runs; subtle discomfort can escalate if you keep pushing in shoes without adequate support. If you have plantar fasciitis, consider shoes that emphasize arch support and cushioning, like the Brooks Glycerin Max. Also, rotating shoes based on activity—using more supportive shoes for long runs and lighter ones for walking—can help manage symptoms and keep you running comfortably. Every runner’s feet are unique, so trying shoes on and listening to your body is key in finding the perfect fit.
