FAQs:
☆ I do not work with children. I am a designated school official at an English language institute in ATL, GA. Our students are 18+.
★ Most of everything is secondhand unless stated otherwise! My goal by posting GRWMs is to show other young/alt/plus size professionals that you can find creative ways to express yourself while saving a little money, being more sustainable, and sticking to a dress code. :)
☆ I usually like to give myself a couple of hours to get ready in the morning but since I don’t have a super consistent schedule, it varies from day to day! For example: I start getting ready at 9am if I head to work at 11am or 6am if I leave the house at 8 and so on!
★ I am also a professional creative makeup artist. This is why I prioritize glam! 💄✨
Feel free to leave any other questions in the comments, I appreciate your support more than I can even express! 🫂
Getting Ready With Me (GRWM) for work as a school administrator can be both a fun and practical way to showcase your personal style, especially when you incorporate sustainability and thoughtful makeup choices. Thrifting outfits, like those found at Goodwill, not only helps reduce environmental impact but also allows you to express your individuality in a cost-effective way. Combining secondhand clothing with handmade or antique accessories adds unique charm while adhering to workplace dress codes. When it comes to makeup for a professional setting in education, especially in roles such as a designated school official at an English language institute, balancing glam and subtlety is key. Using products like gel liners, setting powders, and signature lip pencils from trusted brands can help create a polished look that lasts through a busy day. Since the students you work with are adults 18 years and older, a sophisticated and confident makeup style supports your professional presence while staying true to your creative makeup artist background. Prioritizing products that offer long wear, like face primers and setting sprays, ensures your look remains fresh despite an unpredictable schedule. Additionally, considering the plus-size fashion community, it’s inspiring to see how dress codes do not limit stylish self-expression. Combining comfort, sustainability, and dress code compliance is achievable by thoughtfully selecting pieces that fit well and resonate with your personal style. For those interested in replicating this approach, consider giving yourself ample time in the morning to perfect both your makeup and outfit. As schedules vary daily, adapting your routine while maintaining your signature glam style can boost confidence and readiness. Overall, this GRWM shares valuable insight into blending professional requirements with creative flair, emphasizing sustainable practices, and highlighting a vibrant plus-size fashion perspective. Whether you’re in education or another work environment, these tips can inspire a balanced, expressive, and practical approach to daily preparation.
