FAQs:
☆ I do not work with children. I am a designated school official at an English language institute in ATL, GA. Our students are 18+.
★ Most of everything is secondhand unless stated otherwise! My goal by posting GRWMs is to show other young/alt/plus size professionals that you can find creative ways to express yourself while saving a little money, being more sustainable, and sticking to a dress code. :)
☆ I usually like to give myself a couple of hours to get ready in the morning but since I don’t have a super consistent schedule, it varies from day to day! For example: I start getting ready at 9am if I head to work at 11am or 6am if I leave the house at 8 and so on!
★ I am also a professional creative makeup artist. This is why I prioritize glam! 💄✨
Feel free to leave any other questions in the comments, I appreciate your support more than I can even express! 🫂
Preparing for work as a school administrator can definitely be a blend of looking professional while also feeling true to your own style. What I personally love about incorporating secondhand and thrifted pieces—like those from Goodwill Industries—is not just the budget-friendly aspect, but also the chance to craft a unique look with vintage or hand-me-down touches that make your outfit stand out responsibly and sustainably. Regarding makeup, prioritizing long-lasting yet natural products helps maintain a polished look throughout busy school days. Using a primer like Blurr cream from Melt Cosmetics creates a smooth canvas, while setting powders and mists ensure your makeup stays intact during hectic schedules. As a professional creative makeup artist, focusing on glam details such as a strong mascara or a standout palette highlights your features without being overwhelming. Balancing comfort with style is key—especially if your work involves moving around or attending multiple meetings. Accessories like moon hoops from CVS Pharmacy add subtle flair without breaking dress code rules. Plus, allowing yourself flexible prep times each day eases the morning rush and lets your creativity flow naturally. Sharing these kinds of GRWM routines helps other young, alt, or plus-size professionals see that personal expression doesn't have to be sacrificed for workwear standards. It’s inspiring to see how combining thrifted finds with curated makeup choices can build confidence and empower sustainable fashion and beauty practices. If you ever want to swap tips about favorite products or thrifting hacks, you’ll find a supportive community ready to chat and share!
