My Life In a Few Words...🫶
Vulnerability
🤍 My Story:
I'm a 54 year old single mom of 4 boys, 2 girls, ages 34, 33, 18, 17, 15, & 10. I just found out a few weeks ago that I have what they call early onset alzheimers.
🤍 How I Felt:
I was numb at 1st and relieved because the dr figured it out after struggling for years. I didn't feel scared. It was more a relief, I was surprised by hearing those words from my doctor. I've cried twice as reality hits me. My biggest fear and regret is forgetting my children and all the memories made through the years with each one 😢
🤍 My Takeaways:
I really didn't know what to expect but realized I have been living with this my entire life, and no one knew, not even me. I urge everyone to be persistent when you know something is not right with your body and your mind. If I had not been persistent, I would've died early, and my family would've not know why. Please support family members and friends living with alzheimers/ dementia 💜 or anyone living with mental health illnesses 💚 ~ Betsy
