The true gift will always be Jesus❤️
I have taught/am teaching my toddler that gifts can be given any time and any day. Gifting can be one way of showing someone you love and care for them. But also not receiving gifts doesn't mean someone doesn't love or care for you. Gifts in the world are just extra love for someone. It's mostly something physical like an object and I gave him examples..I told him that some gifts are extra special because they are made. Then again I gave examples..a card, flowers from the garden, a drawing or painting, homemade cookies...just like that God gave us
Jesus and through him he gives us so many special and cool things..❤️
God sent Jesus, John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life".
Jesus gave his life for us! That's how much he loves us!
Through Jesus we are children of God, a new creation, we are loved, forgiven, redeemed, declared righteous, more than conquerors through him, brave, we are filled with the Holy Spirit and his love..the list goes on. (These are things I remind my toddler every chance I get and l let the Holy Spirit guide on how to explain it to him at a level he'll understand for his age) So l told him those
are many gifts we receive through Jesus! We don't unwrap those gifts but they are given to us because God loves us and those gifts can be obtained every day and apart from that here on earth he blesses us with gifts like our family, jobs, toys, clothes..all that is also given to us through God. Those are the physical gifts.

Le he enseñado a mi hijo pequeño que se pueden dar regalos en cualquier momento y cualquier día. Regalar es una forma de demostrarle a alguien que le amas y te importa. Pero tampoco no recibir regalos significa que alguien no te quiera o no se preocupe por ti. Los regalos son simplemente una muestra extra de amor. Suelen ser algo físico, como un objeto, y le di ejemplos... Le dije que algunos regalos son muy especiales porque están hechos a mano. Y le di más ejemplos: una tarjeta, flores del jardín, un dibujo o una pintura, galletas caseras... Así como Dios nos dio a Jesús, y a través de él nos da tantas cosas especiales y maravillosas. ❤️ Dios envió a Jesús, Juan 3:16: "Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que ha dado a su Hijo, para que todo aquel que en el cree, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna". ¡Jesús dio su vida por nosotros! ¡Así de grande es su amor por nosotros! A través de Jesús somos hijos de Dios, una nueva creación; somos amados, perdonados, redimidos, declarados justos, más que vencedores por medio de él, valientes, llenos del Espíritu Santo y de su amor... y la lista continúa. (Estas son cosas que le recuerdo a mi hijo pequeño cada vez que tengo la oportunidad, y dejo que el Espíritu Santo me guíe para explicárselas de una manera que entienda según su edad ). Así que le dije que esos son muchos regalos que recibimos a través de Jesús. No tenemos que desenvolver esos regalos, sino que nos son dados porque Dios nos ama, y podemos recibirlos cada día Y además de eso, aquí en la Tierra nos bendice con dones como nuestra familia, nuestros trabajos, juguetes, ropa... todo eso también nos lo da Dios. Esos son los regalos fisicos que nos da.

Encouraging toddlers to express what gifts they appreciate from God, whether visible or invisible, helps cultivate gratitude and faith from an early age. Furthermore, the recognition that gifts do not have to be expensive or material teaches children an important lesson about the true essence of love and care. God’s gifts, including Jesus, remind us that the best gifts are those of the heart and spirit, which we can receive and appreciate every day without unwrapping. Overall, combining teaching about physical and spiritual gifts with everyday examples provides a wholesome understanding that helps toddlers grasp the concept of God’s love in their own language and experience.
