Are Self Help Trends Just Overrated BS?

The best healing habit you can do is go to therapy and stick through the hard parts because that’s when the healing actually happens

Trauma in other worlds translates as wounds which means it remains. I don’t think it’s possible for anyone to completely heal. We just learn how to cope and respond to it differently either way rather it’s replacing it with another thing such as addiction or learning to understand and acknowledge it. Acceptance is a part of that navigating what can’t be fixed but can be handled differently. I haven’t hadn’t had other social media platforms outside of lemon8 for this reason. As it’s very clear everyone enforcing their own biased experiences to be yours. These are all things that align ed and connected to one individual personally like a scripture or someone and supports. I’ve been through therapy 5 years but it took 5 years to find the therapist I have and to go outside the narrative of what therapy should be. As much as I value my therapist and it gives me to socialize and reflect or feel heard on things. I’m not going to say it’s a be all situation. It’s a place to vent but it was the place that I allowed myself to dig those things internally to process. For me it took different narratives and steps like writing poetry navigating new terms combining my own perceptions in metaphors. When I can’t express my feelings. Or recording when someone got me fed up I start with saying this is the story I’m telling myself and h table later on I listen to it I observe the tone of my voice the speed I’m talking into the things I repeat. Self awareness and having to listen back without a sense of humiliation is a step. I had to find my own way in expressing myself healing isn’t roses you get to smell like some may put out to be. I think that in order to see change it’s making change and understanding everything we do we feel is choice the things we fight are things we were taught to believe by others personal projections on us. In this sense you’re being logical it’s okay to say that the Ruth’s of things don’t fit you and to call it out. I don’t see it as clinical I see it as
