Unpopular opinion: Big houses are overrated…
Everyone says they want a big house,
but this right here? 👀
✔️ Cozy luxury
✔️ Natural light everywhere
✔️ Intentional space
✔️ Peace over clutter
This feels like soft life energy.
I’m starting to think it’s not about size…
it’s about how a space makes you feel.

So let’s talk
From my own experience, downsizing to a smaller home has profoundly changed how I view comfort and luxury. Instead of focusing on sheer square footage, I’ve learned that the true value lies in intentional design that fosters peace and well-being. Implementing more natural light and using every corner with purpose helps avoid clutter and creates a serene environment, which I now cherish daily. One thing I’ve noticed is how cozy luxury can uplift your mood. Soft textures, warm lighting, and thoughtful decoration make the space feel inviting rather than overwhelming. It’s a form of self-care that big houses, with their cavernous echoes and underutilized rooms, often lack. I also realized that living in a smaller, well-curated space encourages mindfulness. Since every item and piece of furniture must have a dedicated function, it forces you to focus on what truly adds value to your life. This soft life energy brings a balance between comfort and simplicity, and that approach can be applied regardless of your home’s size. Finally, tiny home living or simply embracing smaller spaces with cozy luxury has environmental benefits too—less energy consumption, reduced maintenance, and a lighter carbon footprint. So, whether you’re looking to downsize or simply seeking home inspiration, consider prioritizing how your space makes you feel over how big it is. That shift might just be the key to unlocking a more peaceful, fulfilled lifestyle.

This is so quaint and homey. I love the oversized windows - NOW curtains. Though I would probably install remote shades for the bathroom for privacy (so I can bathe) and also in the bedroom so I can have darkness for sleeping in. The patio outside upstairs is perfect for sitting and reading Scripture in my pjs and yo nature when I just get up in the morning. 🤍☀️
