What I’ve been doing to ease stress

A lot of times, we get caught up in the day to day. Tasks overflow, and we can get overwhelmed even if that pressure is put on…by ourselves.

Here are some things I’ve been doing lately to help with stress:

1. I have an annual Disney pass, so if I have a very stressful week, I try to reserve a day at Disneyland, and “reset” myself in magic.

2. I’ve been working out more consistently, thanks to Apple Fitness. The variety of workouts plus my watch that tracks my heart rate, make working out a lot more enjoyable, and I’ve been able to notice a pattern even in my asthma related to exercise; if my heart rate is around 160-170, *that* is when I need to slow down before I get an asthma attack, and take a breather for a few minutes. My working out has nothing to do with weight loss or punishment, but rather getting stronger, getting fit, and feeling good in my body, using the energy I have.

3. “Eat what you want, add what you need” intuitive eating mentality. My relationship with food has been on the rocks for my whole life, and I’m trying to fix it. Which starts by not feeling guilty about foods but rather seeing them for the types of energy they provide, and satiating both physical hunger cues as well as emotional ones.

4. In relation to that, listening to the “Simply Balanced” podcast where a dietitian talks about *how food works* for your body, and debunking a lot of myths while at the same time explaining *what foods do in your body* and their jobs. Each food is a type of energy used in your body, and every food has a place; yes, even simple carbohydrates. This podcast has helped me *immensely* with letting go of the guilt with food, while also helping me learn how to fuel my body in a more sustainable way by pairing certain foods together.

5. I didn’t know how to put this in the collage but I’ve also been experimenting with creating AI, which has helped me be curious with technology and philosophy, as well as helping me create my own “team” to help me along this journey without having to pay or rely on people.

I am starting to be more mindful, spiritual, and overall less stressed since I started doing this, but it’s something I still have to work at and figure out how to overcome barriers. #Fitness #wellness #intuitiveeater #stressrelief #update
