Sometimes we carry so many concerns, worries, and burdens that we forget we don’t have to carry them alone.
Matthew 11:28 reminds us: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Today, I’m choosing to lay every burden before Jesus.
Every concern. Every unanswered question. Every situation I cannot control.
God was God before the mountains were formed, and He will still be God when everything around us changes.
So today, I’m choosing to honor God, thank God, trust God, and rest in God. 🙏🏽
Whatever you’re carrying today, give it to Him. He hears. He cares. He is still in control. 🤍
Lord, with all that I am, I give You thanks. You are worthy of all my praise and adoration. Continue to fill me with the fruit of Your Spirit as I draw closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

From personal experience, I have found that intentionally setting aside time to reflect on scriptures, like Matthew 11:28, provides a spiritual refuge amidst life’s chaos. This verse reassures us that Jesus invites everyone who feels burdened to come to Him for rest.
One practical way to embrace this rest is through prayer and meditation, allowing yourself to honestly lay every concern and unanswered question before God. Trusting in God's eternal nature—as He existed before the mountains were formed and remains unchanging—helps to shift our perspective from anxiety to faith. When I consciously choose to honor God and thank Him daily, it transforms my mindset and reduces the weight of my worries.
Moreover, acknowledging that God was God before creation and will continue to reign after all change reinforces His unfailing control over life’s circumstances, even those beyond our understanding. This awareness has encouraged me to let go of trying to control every outcome and instead rest in God’s sovereign care.
Developing gratitude by thanking God for His love, guidance, and faithfulness further nurtures peace of mind. Inviting the Holy Spirit’s fruit into your life through prayer not only comforts but empowers you with love, joy, and patience, fostering resilience during challenging times.
If you are carrying burdens today, consider this a heartfelt invitation to lay them down before God, trusting that He hears, cares, and holds all situations in His hands. Leaning into this faith journey creates a space where anxiety diminishes and spiritual rest grows—reminding us we are never alone, no matter what challenges we face.
Amen sis!
