The Great Dress Debacle
HELP.
I thrifted this dress on ThredUp. I only paid $6 for it and wasn’t in love with the color. It was just REALLY bright… I felt like a piñata. I thought I could dye it brown to fit my vibe a bit more and orange to brown would be easy. So I got the synthetic RIT dye (the dress is 100% polyester) and followed all the instructions but the fringe took the dye way more than the dress…. Now I feel like it looks like what we would have worn to dress like a Native American back in the 90’s during Thanksgiving before we were taught about what really happened 💀 I’d take piñata over that…
I’m thinking about dying it black now?? Maybe that could help? What do you think. Am I over reacting about the dress’s current state?

oh no, you're not overreacting. definitely piñata vibes in original color & definitely Pilgrim vibes with the brown dye. when in doubt, black it out 😂. i think it's going to look great in black. the fringes may still be darker,but it won't be so overwhelming.
