2 STROKES LAST YEAR BUT I AM STILL HERE!!

Father God, in the name of Jesus…

We come before You today saying thank You.

Thank You for being a God who sees beyond what we can see.

Lord, help us to trust You in the waiting.

Help us not to grow weary, not to lose hope, and not to take matters into our own hands.

Strengthen our hearts like You promised in Your Word.

Remind us that delays are not denials… and silence does not mean absence.

God, align us, prepare us, and position us for everything You have already ordained for our lives.

We surrender our timelines… and we pick up Your will.

And we declare today—

We will not fear.

We will not worry.

We WILL trust You.

In Jesus’ name…

Amen 🙏🏾

The road to recovery is often filled with physical challenges, emotional struggles, and moments of uncertainty. What truly sustained me was a steadfast faith and daily reminders that setbacks are not the end but stepping stones to new beginnings. The prayer shared perfectly resonates with the need for patience and trust during recovery. Delays in healing sometimes test our resolve, but embracing the idea that delays are not denials helped keep my spirit hopeful. Many stroke survivors, including myself, learn to lean into the unexpected silence — moments when progress seems paused — trusting that these pauses serve a purpose in God’s plan. Mental strength is as crucial as physical healing. When fear and worry threaten to overwhelm, declaring trust and surrendering control can provide immense peace. I found affirmations and prayers like these helped retrain my mindset and encouraged resilience. In addition, surrounding myself with a supportive community—be it church groups, stroke survivor forums, or friends who understood the journey—was invaluable. Sharing stories and hearing others’ victories reinforced that survival is possible, and thriving beyond survival is within reach. Finally, music and moments of praise became healing tools. The OCR content shows references to music and praise breaks, which I found therapeutic. Whether it’s upbeat songs or meditative worship music, sound became a powerful aid to lift my spirits when walking the long path of recovery. For anyone facing similar challenges, hold onto hope, trust in divine timing, and seek strength in faith and community. You are not defined by your stroke but by your courage to keep moving forward.
