If you would have told me a few years ago that I would be preaching the Gospel, I probably would have laughed.
As a pastor’s daughter, I always imagined serving God in other ways. Teaching? Absolutely.
Creating faith-based content? Of course.
Encouraging women? Without question.
But preaching?!?
That wasn’t something I saw for myself.
About two years ago, God began pulling my heart in a way I couldn’t ignore.
What started as a gentle nudge became a burden to share His word, His truth, and His love with others.
The more I said “yes,” the more He stretched my faith and showed me that sometimes the calling God places on your life is bigger than the picture you’ve created for yourself.
Today, it is one of the greatest honors of my life to open God’s word and share what He has taught me.
If you’re reading this and God has been nudging you to do something that feels uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or even impossible, consider this your encouragement: say yes anyway.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You simply have to be willing.
Your obedience could be the very thing God uses to impact someone else’s life.
And who knows?!
The thing you never imagined yourself doing may become the very thing God uses to transform you.

Answering a call from God, especially one that shifts your entire path, can be both daunting and transformative. From my own experience, I understand how uncertainty and fear of the unknown can hold you back from embracing what God is asking you to do. When God starts calling you to more, it often starts as a subtle feeling—a gentle nudge that gradually becomes a persistent pull on your heart. In these moments, it’s essential to listen carefully and be open to where He might be leading. Saying "yes" when God calls you to do something unfamiliar, like preaching or leading others in faith, may require stepping outside your comfort zone. But it is precisely in these steps of obedience that faith grows stronger and truly meaningful change begins. Obedience doesn’t mean you need to have everything figured out or be perfect. In fact, God often works through our weaknesses and imperfections to accomplish His purpose. The key is willingness—the readiness to be stretched, to grow, and to trust Him despite uncertainty. I encourage anyone feeling that divine pull to act with courage. Whether it’s sharing your faith through creating content, teaching, or preaching, your obedience may be the spark that ignites a powerful change in someone else’s life. It might also be the very way God transforms you from the inside out. If you’re in a community like Oklahoma, find a place where you can connect and serve with others who share your faith journey. Being part of a supportive faith community can make embracing your calling more manageable and enriching.
