It started with a phone 📞 call

Let me say this gently.

You’re not crazy.

You’re not dramatic.

You’re not “too much.”

You’re just emotionally overwhelmed… and spiritually aware at the same time.

And that combination is exhausting.

You love God.

You pray.

You try to be mature.

But when someone pulls away?

When plans change?

When you feel rejected?

Your chest tightens.

Your mind races.

Your peace disappears.

And then you feel guilty for reacting.

So now you’re spiraling… and ashamed.

That’s the part nobody talks about.

We’ve been taught how to worship.

We’ve been taught how to serve.

But nobody taught us how to be emotionally sober with God.

How to:

• Sit in a trigger without texting

• Feel anxiety without losing faith

• Be disappointed without grabbing control

• Trust God without bracing for impact

Emotional sobriety isn’t about being calm all the time.

It’s about not letting your wounds lead your decisions.

I created 30 Days to Emotional Sobriety with God because too many of us love God… but are emotionally chaotic in private.

And that doesn’t mean you’re weak.

It just means no one taught you how to process with Him.

If you’ve ever felt spiritually committed but emotionally unstable…

You’re not alone.

And you’re not broken.

You’re just ready for another level of healing.

The door is open when you are.

... Read moreFrom my own journey of trying to balance deep faith and raw emotions, I learned the importance of emotional sobriety with God—it's not about suppressing feelings, but learning how to sit with them without losing spiritual grounding. Often, we think that faith means we shouldn’t feel anxious or upset, but in reality, emotional triggers like rejection, changing plans, or unmet expectations can deeply affect our inner peace. The key is to acknowledge these feelings rather than suppress or act out of them. One of the most freeing practices I've found is learning to pause in those moments of emotional overwhelm. Instead of immediately reacting—whether by texting impulsively or trying to control the situation—I remind myself to breathe and sit with the discomfort. This pause helps me keep my trust in God steady while acknowledging my human feelings. Also, praying honestly about pain and anxiety rather than simply reciting scriptures allows for spiritual maturity. It's about developing a genuine relationship where you can express doubts and fears, which gradually builds resilience and emotional discipline. Programs like '30 Days to Emotional Sobriety with God' can be a huge help as they offer structured steps to heal without pretending everything’s fine. They teach us how to process emotions with God’s guidance so that our decisions aren't led by old wounds. If you've ever felt spiritually committed but emotionally unstable, you are definitely not alone. Many believers struggle in silence, thinking they’re the only ones feeling this way. Healing is possible with patience, support, and learning tools to handle emotional triggers with spiritual sobriety. This journey is about growth—embracing the complexity of being emotionally aware while deepening your connection with God. When you are ready to move forward, the door to healing is always open.
