18-Year-Old Found Dead in Burned Car
On December 12, 2024, 18-year-old MyAngel Walker was reported missing in South Carolina after she failed to show up for work. The next day, her body was discovered inside a burned car in Greenwood County.
Police later arrested her boyfriend, 19-year-old Malachi Pressley, charging him with shooting her and committing a violent crime with a weapon. Another teen, 19-year-old Taylor Kinard, was charged as an accessory after the fact for allegedly helping to cover it up. Both have been denied bond.
MyAngel wasn’t just a statistic: she was a recent high school graduate, a young woman with dreams of becoming a nurse, remembered by family and friends as warm and full of promise. Her life ended before it truly began.
This tragedy raises painful questions:
👉 Are we overlooking the dangers of violence within young relationships?
👉 How can communities and law enforcement respond faster when someone goes missing?
A bright future was stolen, a family is shattered.
