Jesus Theological Term Visual Bible Study Notes

Theological terms are so important and help us stay aligned to the Gospel truth. Christology was developed because of early differing beliefs of Jesus’ nature/ontology. So in this 1 minute quick visual Bible study I explain Christology and also the competing beliefs against Christ’s true nature which became the reason to form a theological stance called Christology. #theology #biblestudymoments #biblejournal #biblejournalingcommunity #biblestudytime

2/26 Edited to

... Read moreIn studying Christology, I found it fascinating how early Christian communities tackled the complex question of Jesus’ nature. Various early heresies such as Arianism, which denies Jesus' full divinity, Docetism, claiming Jesus only seemed human, and Eutychianism, which blends human and divine natures, each posed challenges that led to clearer theological definitions. Personally, creating visual notes helped me grasp these competing beliefs more concretely. For example, understanding that Jesus Christ is one person who fully possesses both divine and human natures, united without confusion or separation, was a profound realization that deepens my faith. Using visual aids to represent Christ’s dual nature not only clarifies theology but also enriches Bible study experiences. It encourages looking beyond mere facts towards what these truths mean for salvation and our relationship with God. Reflecting on Christology reminds me that Jesus’ suffering and obedience were real and intentional — He was fully human yet fully God, perfectly embodying both. For anyone diving into theological terms, integrating visuals with scriptural study can illuminate complex doctrines like Christology. It confirms why the Church holds certain stances and helps believers stay aligned with the Gospel truth amid differing interpretations. This approach has made my Bible journal more interactive and my study moments more meaningful, bringing theology from abstract concepts into personal spiritual growth.
