Trusting in God

We all face seasons where life throws unexpected challenges our way, leaving us feeling lost or overwhelmed. I know I’ve been there more times than I can count. During these moments, it’s so easy to question everything, especially where God is in it all. But one truth that always brings me back to peace is the unwavering belief that God will make a way, even when we can't see the path ahead. This August, I’ve been constantly drawn to Proverbs 3:5-6: 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.' This verse isn't just a suggestion; it's a profound invitation to surrender. It reminds me that my limited human understanding can't grasp the full picture of God’s plan. When I received what felt like a sign, a gentle nudge from above, it was a powerful reassurance to stop overthinking and simply trust. It's incredible how God's plans unfold. Sometimes, when we're in the thick of a 'hard time,' it feels like an insurmountable wall. But God specializes in making a way where there seems to be none. Think about it – doors close, and then suddenly, an unexpected window opens, revealing a better, more aligned path. This isn't just blind faith; it's a deep trust born from seeing His faithfulness time and time again. I've learned that letting go of my need to control the outcome creates space for His divine intervention. Beyond Proverbs, other Bible verses have become my anchors. Jeremiah 29:11, 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,' is a powerful reminder of His good intentions. Or Romans 8:28, 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.' These aren't just pretty quotes; they’re promises. When I’m struggling, I write them down, speak them aloud, and pray them over my situation. It helps shift my focus from fear to faith. Starting this August, I decided to embrace a new affirmation: to rise with grace, deep faith, joy, and welcome abundance. It’s about not just believing God will make a way, but actively stepping into that belief. It means praying, yes, but also taking courageous steps, however small, knowing He’s guiding them.
