Can’t believe I’ve been driving a 60FT bus around Michigan all day 😮💨😮💨😮💨 I literally just Got my CDL yesterday 😭😂😂😂
Getting my CDL was a huge milestone, and driving a 60FT bus right after was definitely an unforgettable experience. Maneuvering such a long vehicle requires a lot of focus and practice, especially on winding roads and in tight city spaces. One thing I quickly realized is how important it is to be aware of wide turns and the bus’s blind spots to ensure safety. Driving around Michigan gave me a great appreciation for the skill involved in bus driving. Handling a large vehicle through different weather conditions and traffic situations pushed me to improve my control and patience behind the wheel. It’s also a confidence booster to know you can manage such a big rig after just getting licensed. For anyone thinking about getting their CDL or driving large buses, I recommend starting with smaller loads and building up experience. Also, always double-check your mirrors and signals before any turn or lane change. The responsibility that comes with driving a commercial vehicle is real, but the sense of accomplishment when you do it well is worth it. Overall, driving that 60FT bus was exhausting but incredibly rewarding. It showed me firsthand the dedication required to work in commercial driving and inspired me to keep honing my skills every day.
