I only hope we’re not all ladder-weary by the end of it—

because there’s still more to climb, more to reach for,

and maybe even more to find on the way up.

She climbed for the sweet,

for the shimmer, the prize,

Drawn by a dream in the strawberry skies.

She reached once and missed—

then again, and again,

Each step a soft whisper of “maybe” and “when.”

The fruit seemed to laugh as it swayed out of view,

But still she climbed higher, as brave hearts do.

No cheering crowd. No map. No rest.

Just quiet belief that she’d give it her best.

And just when the sky felt heavy and far—

Her fingers closed 'round that glimmering star.

Not with a leap, but steady and true—

She reached. And the strawberry finally grew close to her too.

Some dreams take time. Some fruit takes reaching.
