... Read moreSelecting colors for a new home can feel overwhelming, but I've found that starting with a color palette that reflects the mood you want to create helps a lot. For interiors, softer neutrals like warm greys, beiges, or gentle blues create a calming atmosphere, while pops of brighter colors in accent walls or decor add personality without overwhelming. For the exterior, consider the architectural style and surroundings. Earth tones like taupe, olive, or slate blue tend to blend well with natural landscapes, whereas bold colors like deep red or navy can make a striking statement if you prefer a more modern or classic look. Also, think about the house’s roof color and landscaping to ensure everything harmonizes. Lighting plays a critical role, too—natural light can change how colors appear throughout the day, so test samples on your walls and outside areas to see the variations. Don’t hesitate to involve friends or family for opinions; sometimes a fresh perspective can reveal what truly makes a space feel like home. Lastly, practical factors matter—exterior paint should be durable and weather-resistant. Interior finishes can vary room by room depending on function; for example, moisture-resistant paint in bathrooms and kitchens. Taking your time to plan and experiment with samples can turn the painting process into an enjoyable creative journey rather than a stressful task.

Paint tip for glass
This liquid masking tape is my go to when I have to paint around a lot of glass work. If any of the masking liquid gets on the wood, it just acts as a primer, and any that gets on the glass can be cut and peeled off easily. In my opinion, it’s so much quicker than using masking tape. #paint #diy
