🙌🏾TESTIMONY TUESDAY
I bent. But I did not break. That is what being rooted in God does.
There were seasons in my life where everything around me was shaking. Relationships fell apart. Doors closed. Plans crumbled. And there were moments where I honestly did not know if I was going to make it through.
But I did.
Not because I was strong enough. Not because I had it all figured out. But because somewhere in the middle of all of that shaking I was still connected to something that could not be moved.
That is what roots do.
A tree in a storm does not stand still because nothing is happening to it. It stands because what is holding it goes deeper than what is hitting it. The wind can bend the branches. But it cannot pull up the roots.
That has been my testimony. Life bent me. Circumstances tried to break me. But God kept me rooted when I did not even have the strength to hold on myself.
And here I am. Still standing. Still planted.
Still growing.🌱
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.” Psalm 92:12-14 (NIV)
Still bearing fruit. After everything. That is the testimony of a rooted life!
