Stop running. Stop rushing. Stop striving. Surrender it and watch God work.
We come into Monday with our lists and our plans and our determination to make things happen. And there is nothing wrong with showing up and doing the work.
But there is a difference between working with God and working ahead of Him.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop. Not because you are giving up. But because you are finally getting out of the way long enough to let God do what only He can do.
Striving says I have to figure this out.
Surrender says God I trust you with this.
Striving exhausts you.
Surrender restores you.
Striving produces results in your own strength.
Surrender produces miracles in His.
This Monday you do not have to have it all figured out. You do not have to force the door open. You do not have to carry what was never yours to carry.
Just surrender it. All of it. And then watch.
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Psalm 37:7 (ESV)
Be still. Wait. Watch Him work.
🔥 Declare it today. I am done striving. I am done rushing. I surrender it to God and I trust Him with every single step of this week.

“The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.” Psalm 37:5 (NIV)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)
... Read moreStarting my week with a mindset shift from striving to surrender has profoundly changed how I approach challenges. I used to believe that constant effort and controlling every detail were the keys to success, especially on busy Mondays. However, I realized this only drained my energy and left me feeling overwhelmed.
When I embraced the idea of stopping and surrendering, as encouraged by the wisdom in Psalm 37:7 and Exodus 14:14, I found a new kind of peace. It wasn’t about giving up but about trusting that there is a bigger plan at work. This trust allowed me to take a deep breath and focus on what truly matters, instead of forcing results that weren’t meant to be forced.
Incorporating daily moments of stillness and prayer into my Monday routine helped me align my efforts with faith rather than frustration. I’ve noticed that surrender doesn’t lead to inactivity but opens the door for creative solutions and unexpected blessings. The contrast between striving and surrendering is life-changing: striving leaves me exhausted, trying to fix things on my own; surrender replenishes my spirit and invites miracles.
For anyone feeling stuck in the rush and pressure of their to-do list, I recommend trying this spiritual practice. Declare your intention to stop rushing and place your trust in God’s timing and guidance. Read scriptures like Romans 8:28 to remind yourself that everything works together for good, even when the path isn’t clear.
Remember, Monday fuel isn’t about endless striving—it’s about soulful transformation through surrender. Watching God work in the spaces where we let go truly brings a refreshing start to the week.
