💛 WISDOM WEDNESDAY
Sometimes God lets you walk through confusion so wisdom can meet you on the road.
The two disciples on the road to Emmaus were not foolish people. They were followers of Jesus. They knew the scriptures. They had seen the miracles.
And yet they were walking in the wrong direction. Away from Jerusalem. Away from where God was moving. Confused. Discouraged. Done.
And Jesus did not stop them with a loud voice or a dramatic sign. He simply walked beside them and asked a question.
What are you talking about?
He already knew the answer. But He let them process out loud. He let them express their confusion and their grief and their disappointment. And then gently patiently He opened the scriptures and walked them back to truth.
That is wisdom.
Not a formula. Not a five step plan. Just a willingness to walk beside people where they are and gently point them back to what is true.
And here is the personal wisdom for you today.
When you are confused and discouraged and walking in the wrong direction God does not abandon you. He joins you on the road. He asks the questions that lead you back to yourself. He opens the Word and lets truth do what only truth can do.
“Walk with the wise and become wise.” Proverbs 13:20 (NIV)
The wisest thing you can do today is stay close enough to God to hear Him when He speaks on the road. 💛
💛 Declare it today. I am open to God meeting me right where I am. Even in my confusion. Even on the wrong road. His wisdom will lead me back.
