🤍 My Story: Someone I thought I loved very deeply has just shown me who he truly is. He is a man with a lack of accountability, a lack of values, and inconsistency. I thought what we had was true and genuine. He does not value the things I value, and he often diminishes them.
🤍 How I Felt: I felt lost for a bit. Like everything was my fault. But after releasing, burning, and turning my back, I have now learned that it is not my fault for what happened and how he chose to act. I cannot control what he does, think, or do.
🤍 My Takeaways: I’m only human, there’s only so much I could do. But I have to start putting myself first. I have to center myself and not someone else. All I can do is let go what no longer serves me and move on. But letting go is never giving up.
