Bloomingmoore
This photo means everything to me.
The young man on the left is my daddy.
The young man on the right is my Uncle Mikey.
When I look at this picture, I don’t just see two brothers playing around in front of a car. I see legacy. I see love. I see two men who helped shape my life in ways they may never have fully realized.
When I was a kid, I boldly told my Uncle Mikey I was the daughter he never asked for ( he chuckled and said oh is that right). It was our way of describing the bond we had. He was my uncle, but he carried a fatherly kind of love, protection, and truth in my life.
Along with my daddy, he taught me to keep fighting, keep believing, and keep moving forward no matter what life looked like.
Many people have had a hand in who I became. I cannot deny that. There are many stories, lessons, sacrifices, and relationships that helped shape the woman I am today. When I am ready, I will talk about them too. But today, I want to honor this part of the story.
There was something about that last conversation with my Uncle Mikey that continues to bloom in me.
Two days after my birthday, I spoke with him. I didn’t know it would be our last conversation. What I will never forget is that he remembered my birthday had just passed. At a time when he was most vulnerable, he still gave me energy. He still gave me strength. He still poured into me.
That was an eleventh-hour investment into my life.
He gave something he did not live to reap the benefits from.
And I will forever be indebted to that kind of love.
My Uncle Mikey’s conversations through the years quietly shaped me. No fanfare. No stage. No announcement. Just words, presence, encouragement, and the kind of love that keeps blooming long after the person is gone.
But the truth is, this legacy did not start with him or my daddy.
If it wasn’t for their father, Billy Moore, I would not be a Moore. My grandpa Billy had a huge impact on who I became. He planted something in our family that continued through his children and now continues through me.
On May 30, 2023, Bloomingmoore LLC was officially approved.
The same day, my Uncle Mikey passed away.
For a long time, that felt impossible to understand. One chapter was ending while another was beginning.
But I’ve come to realize that Bloomingmoore didn’t start with me.
It started with the people who poured into me.
It started with Grandpa Billy Moore.
It continued through my daddy.
It continued through Uncle Mikey.
It continued through every word of encouragement, every hard lesson, every reminder to keep fighting, and every seed planted in me before I even knew what those seeds would become.
My daddy continued watering the seeds.
My Uncle Mikey helped plant them.
And Grandpa Billy’s legacy was the soil they grew from.
Today, every client I serve, every word I write, every person encouraged through Bloomingmoore carries a piece of their legacy.
Uncle Mikey didn’t get to see all of his seeds bloom.
But his legacy continues to bloom Moore through me.
And every time Bloomingmoore grows, a part of them grows with it.
