yes you see correctly it is Labu + Labu and not Labu Labu 😂😂😂 was super duper excited when i saw news of themLabu + Labu (Johor Bahru) opening a branch in jb on sept 5th!!!
was still planning my trip to KL to try it again after they close down their central kitchen in sg. now its just across the border!!
🍰 are they / were they in sg before?
they had a central kitchen in sg before at sembawang smart kitchen (closed in 2024 dk which mth 🥹)
ordered it via grab to try try and THAT WAS WHR I FELL DEEP IN LOVEEEE with their swiss rolls (esp pandan gula melaka) 🥹🤤🥹🤤
on and off they had like pop-ups in sg shopping malls before but i never encountered them 🫠🫠
🍰 what are the must try bakes?
They are famous for their flossie balls, but they bake pretty delicious cakes too!!!
1️⃣ Baked Cheesecake (slice) RM13 - tried it on the spot and woah the crust i LOVE it, it contains macadamia nuts 😋
2️⃣ Pandan Gula Melaka Roll RM25 - they use real pandan juice, no colouring. the cake is super soft 🥹 the filling is super good, it is not overly sweet, and a bit like ice cream
3️⃣ Chocolate Roll RM28 - chocolate lovers will love it! it is not the super choco-ly kind, there are choco chips inside the cream so its a pleasant surprise
4️⃣ Lemon Cake (slice) RM14 - so soft and fluffy 🥹
🍰 can eat inside?
mainly for takeaway! there is only one table and stool inside which we asked the staff if it is ok for us to have the cheesecake on the spot after we bought it in the morning (no crowd) 😂
there are many customers who brought it to the f&b shop (华香南洋茶室 HUA SIANG KOPITIAM ) next door to eat it w a beverage 😄
