Scrolling FB memories lately & realizing something

Apparently my find which one” energy.

The only difference now?

I understand myself better.

And if you’re someone who’s discovering parts of yourself through a diagnosis or label later in life…

You’re not suddenly more broken.

You’re just finally getting the context.

And context changes everything.

... Read moreReflecting on my own journey, I realized that receiving a late diagnosis of AuDHD (Autism and ADHD combined) was life-changing. For years, I felt out of sync with the world, often overwhelmed and misunderstood, but without any clear explanation. The diagnosis didn’t define me, but it finally gave me the context to understand why I think and behave differently. It’s important to know that discovering this aspect of yourself later in life doesn’t mean you were broken before — it means you were navigating life without a complete map. Armed with this new understanding, you can start to work with your natural tendencies rather than fight against them. This can dramatically improve self-acceptance and reduce feelings of frustration or self-doubt. For instance, I began to recognize patterns in my behavior that made more sense in light of AuDHD traits: my intense focus swings, struggles with sensory sensitivities, and the way I multitask with many mental tabs open. Instead of seeing these as flaws, I now see them as a different wiring that comes with unique strengths and challenges. If you’re on this path too, take time to explore self-care techniques tailored for neurodivergent individuals — such as structured routines, mindfulness practices, or sensory-friendly environments. Connecting with supportive communities can also be life-affirming. Remember, understanding yourself is a powerful step toward living authentically and embracing your individuality. Context truly changes everything.
