Honeymoon in Switzerland (4D3N in Interlaken) 🍯🌕
After our 3 days 2 nights stay in Bern, our next destination is 📍Interlaken
🤍 Day 1
▫️Istewald
We took an early train (8plus) from Bern to Interlaken West. This time round, we booked an Airbnb instead to experience a local lifestyle. Our Airbnb was cosy and it’s not far from the main station. Our Airbnb hosts even provided a visitors’ card that gives us free transport in the areas shown on the card.
As we had to wait for check-in time, we decided to go ahead with our paragliding first since we had a lot of time. There are a few agencies in Interlaken and my husband decided on Skywings because of the high reviews and cost. We had to wait for our timing and the staff kindly allowed us to place our luggage at their store 😌 We had a coffee break at Velo cafe and it is a cosy place to rest too.
For the paragliding, we had to take a ride to the highest point and move on foot from there. It was quite a walk and I felt breathless after the walk 😂 once you reach the point, the staff will set up and gave me a brief of what to do. The experience was worth it! Definitely recommend to give this a try as the views were breathtaking 😍
Decided to head down to Istewald (where crash landing on you was filmed). It wasn’t too crowded but there was a gate where you had to pay to enter the dock where you can sit and take photos. We didn’t as we felt the view was nice enough without having to enter the dock. I think it was 5 CHF (around $8).
🤍 Day 2
▫️Jungfraujoch
Spent almost the whole day here because we had to cater in the travelling time. Had to take a cable car which brought us to a station to take a train. Toured the ice palace first (spot the squirrel from ice age! 😆). Toured a while on top of Jungfraujoch and went for sledding afterwards. There was a store where you can rent the sled and return it when you reach another point after you sled down. It was fun and we could do it multiple times! But you have to walk up the slope with the sled which was pretty tiring 😅
🤍 Day 3
▫️Thun cruise
Took the train to Thun where we explored the town. Some places we went are: Town Square, Thun Castle and Untere Schleuse. Took the Lake Thun Cruise from the ferry terminal and there is a restaurant in the ferry where you can order food. We caved in and ordered some food 😋 stop at Spiez to walk around and the day ended with some cheese fondue we tried in a restaurant called Des Aples in Interlaken.

The stop at Spiez is charming, ideal for a leisurely stroll before heading back. Ending your day with authentic cheese fondue in Interlaken caps off the experience perfectly; it’s a warm and savory treat that feels rewarding after a day of exploration. Staying in an Airbnb close to the Interlaken West station, as described, enhances the local living experience and the visitors’ transport card is a practical perk that helps you travel efficiently without extra cost. Overall, this itinerary balances active adventures with relaxing moments, ideal for couples seeking both excitement and intimacy on their honeymoon in Switzerland.
