I focused heavily on consistent technique, ensuring every pushup was performed with full range of motion to maximize muscle engagement. To build endurance, I incorporated rest and recovery periods strategically. Adequate sleep and balanced nutrition were essential to keep my energy levels high. Mental endurance was just as critical—I used visualization techniques and positive self-talk to overcome moments of fatigue. Tracking progress through a journal kept me motivated by highlighting improvements over time. One challenge I encountered was managing muscle soreness, particularly in the chest and triceps. I addressed this with light stretching, foam rolling, and alternating the types of pushups, such as incline and decline variations, to target different muscle groups and allow recovery. If you’re aiming for high-volume pushup days, I recommend starting with manageable targets and gradually increasing reps to build strength safely. Also, listening to your body to avoid overtraining is crucial. This approach not only improved my physical stamina but also enhanced my mental toughness, reminding me that consistent effort yields impressive results.
