I went to Ireland recently starting and ending my trip in Dublin and all I can say is I am obsessed with the hotel we stayed at, The Leinster!
This is located along Merrion Square Park, which is a beautiful park with a great tribute to Irish-playwright Oscar Wilde and only a 15-20 minute walk to Temple Bar and 5 minutes to Trinity College Dublin, where the Book of Kells is!
Okay, the hotel! First of all the lobby is pretty but the rooms have so many great details and design elements I love!
The bathrooms have heated toilets and bidets.
The space was small, but the design choices made it feel spacious!
I love the maximalism!
The best part might be the hotel bar called The Collins Club - this space was. DREAMY! Loved the decor, ambiance, lighting, and decor. Plus the cocktails were great.
I’d stay here again, no notes, 10/10 and would love to see the other rooms!

Read moreWhen I was looking for a memorable place to stay in Dublin, I wasn't just searching for a room; I was looking for an experience – a hotel that would truly make me fall in love with the city and my stay. If you're searching for a 'love hotel' in Dublin, not in the traditional sense, but one you'll genuinely fall head over heels for, The Leinster is absolutely it!
From the moment I stepped into our room, I was captivated. The maximalist design, which I adore, truly made the space feel both luxurious and intimate. I remember admiring the gorgeous floral headboard – it added such a romantic and unique touch, making the bed feel like a grand centerpiece. And let's talk about those bathrooms... not just the amazing heated toilets and bidets, but the most incredible unique wallpaper I've ever seen, making even a quick freshen-up feel like an experience in a secret garden. Little details, like the vintage rotary phone by the bed, just added to the charm and made it feel less like a chain hotel and more like a special, curated getaway.
But the true heart of the hotel's 'good vibes' for me was The Collins Club. It's not just a bar; it's an experience in itself. The moment you walk in, the warm red lighting and elegant decor instantly transport you. It felt like stepping into a sophisticated, secret hideaway – absolutely perfect for a romantic evening or a celebratory drink. I even spotted a cool "Cha Cha" neon sign in one of the other spaces, adding to the playful yet chic ambiance. The cocktails were incredible, and the atmosphere made you want to linger for hours, soaking in every moment.
Beyond the hotel itself, its location is ideal for anyone looking for a special trip. Imagine a leisurely stroll through Merrion Square Park, hand-in-hand, admiring the statues and enjoying the green space, before heading back to the cozy embrace of The Leinster. Or a short walk to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, adding a touch of history and culture to your romantic escape. It truly feels like a central base from which to explore Dublin's charm, knowing you have a luxurious, stylish haven to return to each evening.
What truly makes a hotel a 'love hotel' in my book is how it makes you *feel*. The Leinster made me feel pampered, inspired, and completely at ease. Every detail, from the thoughtful design choices to the incredible ambiance of the bar, contributes to an unforgettable stay. If you're planning a trip to Dublin and want a hotel that offers more than just a bed – one that offers genuine charm, luxury, and 'good vibes' – The Leinster should be at the very top of your list. It's a place where you'll make beautiful memories, and that's precisely what I look for in a perfect getaway.
