... Read moreHey beauties! You know I'm always on the hunt for amazing makeup that won't break the bank. Well, I recently hit the jackpot and found a treasure trove of Ioni and L.A. Colors products that I'm so excited to review for you. These brands are seriously stepping up their game, offering quality and trendy items at unbelievable prices. I grabbed a bunch of things, from their famous false eyelashes to some super cute seashell-shaped eyeshadows, and I’ve put them all to the test so you don't have to!
Let's dive into the Ioni finds first, starting with their incredible false eyelashes. I picked up a few styles from their Cherry on Top range, and also some from the dolce lash and makeup bar. Honestly, these are some of the best drugstore lashes I've tried! They're lightweight, comfortable, and give that perfect fluffy volume without looking fake. For brows, I grabbed the Ioni Clear Brow Gel and the Microfilling Gel Brow Tattoo Dark Brown. The clear gel is fantastic for holding everything in place all day, and the microfilling pen helps create natural-looking hair strokes that really define the brow. Both are total game-changers for a polished look!
Next up, more Ioni goodies! Their setting mists caught my eye immediately. I tried both the Mattifying Green Grape and the Dewy Glow Watermelon. The Mattifying one was excellent for keeping shine at bay, perfect for my oilier areas, and the Dewy Glow gave a lovely, healthy radiance that wasn't sticky at all. I also got my hands on some Ioni Cherry makeup products, including their shimmer setting spray, melting lip balms, brow glue, blush butter balms, hydrating primer, brow pencil, and serum blush. The blush butter balms are surprisingly pigmented and blend like a dream, giving such a fresh pop of color. And the hydrating primer feels amazing on the skin, creating a smooth canvas for makeup.
Now, onto my L.A. Colors haul! I was instantly drawn to their seashell-shaped eyeshadows – how cute are they?! The mermaid scale design on the packaging is absolutely adorable. The shadows themselves were surprisingly buttery and had decent color payoff for the price, especially for everyday looks. I also grabbed some lip liners in classic red and brown shades, and their vibrant red lip glosses. The liners are creamy, long-lasting, and prevent feathering, while the glosses add a beautiful shine without being overly sticky. Don't forget their pink blushes and white eyeshadows – solid staples that perform well for the price point. I even spotted their false eyelashes, which are a great option if you're looking for variety without a big investment.
Overall, my experience with these Ioni and L.A. Colors products has been overwhelmingly positive. From the Ioni Cherry on Top lashes to the L.A. Colors lip glosses and those adorable seashell eyeshadows, I genuinely feel like I found some incredible value. If you're on a budget but still want to experiment with makeup or find reliable everyday essentials, I highly recommend checking out these brands. They truly prove that you don't need to spend a fortune to look fabulous! Have you tried any of these? Let me know your favorites in the comments!
