It felt so incredibly relatable for anyone who’s ever loved books a little too much. And of course, I can't talk about Emily Henry without mentioning 'People We Meet on Vacation'. This book gave me all the feels! It tells the story of Poppy and Alex, best friends who’ve taken a summer vacation together every year for a decade, until two years ago. Now, Poppy tries to convince Alex to take one more trip to fix whatever went wrong. The alternating timelines (past vacations and the present one) are handled beautifully, showing their friendship evolve. It’s a gorgeous exploration of friendship, love, and growing up, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and incredibly tender scenes. It made me reflect on my own friendships and the importance of holding onto those special connections. Honestly, picking an Emily Henry book feels like a warm hug. Her writing style is so engaging, and her characters feel so real – flawed, funny, and utterly lovable. Whether you're in the mood for a grumpy-sunshine dynamic, a witty banter-filled romance, or a deep dive into friendship, her bibliography has something for everyone. So, if you're looking for some fantastic reads to add to your rotation, especially as we head into the second half of summer, definitely give one of these Emily Henry treasures a try.
