July Reads ✨

Another month down as well as 6 books finished! And what a good reading month July was for me. I’ve been obsessed with gothic romance at the moment so I went through a Keri Lake phase, and she does not disappoint!!

I would recommend reading every one of these books but my top read for this month hands down was Nocticadia by Keri Lake. No one talks about this book enough, it absolutely needs more hype!

... Read moreIn July, I embraced the allure of gothic romance, a genre rich with dark themes and evocative storytelling. Among the books I indulged in, Keri Lake's Nocticadia stood out as a must-read. This atmospheric tale combines elements of forbidden romance, academia, and the thrilling secrets of a gothic society. With a rating of 4.30 on Goodreads, Nocticadia captures the essence of a haunting love story filled with tension and passion. Readers are often drawn to this genre for its unique ability to blend romance with suspense, transporting them to eerie settings and captivating plots. Lake's signature style shines through in this book, engaging readers with complex characters and narrative twists that keep them guessing. If you're new to gothic romance, you might also consider other titles that feature similar themes, such as 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern or 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' series by Sarah J. Maas, both of which encapsulate the enchanting and mysterious core of the genre. As the summer progresses, let your reading journey take a dark and romantic turn with these compelling stories. Whether you’re an avid fan of gothic novels or just exploring this enticing genre, July’s reads promise to add depth and excitement to your literary collection.
