Struggling with ADD

Hey y’all I just wanted to give you an update on my life and how things are going. Honestly, it has been a little bit stressful and overwhelming with the amount of work I’ve been doing and creating and obviously trying to juggle my full-time job as well. I find it extremely difficult to not procrastinate or go back into old habits when I’m trying to fill my schedule with things to do instead of sleeping every single day that I’m not working. I do need to sleep with my job so of course I do take time to relax and give myself some time. However I do find myself getting anxious when I don’t try to come up with new content ideas or make a new video. I also started taking my Adderall, which has helped honestly with me being stuck in a slump and laying around it’s giving me the ability to get up and actually do some thing which has been super beneficial for me so far however, I feel like I always go boss to the moon when I actually take my medicine and often times overwhelmed myself with new tasks on top of the old tasks that I’ve still yet to finish. Does any other ADD girls get what I’m saying? It’s a consistent battle, but I’m fighting it day-to-day and starting to become happy with me new routine there just definitely is growing pains lol 💌 @#lemon8diarychallenge #anxiousgirly #microinfluencer #unfiltered #healthylifestyle2024 #blackgirlcreator #teamwork #add #nuerodivergant

... Read moreLiving with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is a unique challenge that affects many individuals, altering how they approach daily tasks and productivity. It's crucial to understand that ADD is not simply about inattention; it also encompasses difficulties with organization, focus, and emotional regulation. For many, medication like Adderall can offer significant benefits, helping them regain control over their productivity and emotional responses. However, while medication can enhance focus, it can also lead to overwhelm if new tasks pile up too quickly. Support systems, including therapy and lifestyle adjustments, play a vital role in managing ADD symptoms. Mindfulness techniques, exercise, and maintaining a balanced routine can contribute to heightened awareness and control. Engaging with communities, both online and offline, such as those for individuals with ADD or neurodivergent traits, provides valuable support and shared experiences. They can help normalize the struggles faced and offer strategies for managing them. It's essential for individuals with ADD to embrace their unique talents and find creative outlets. Many people with ADD are highly creative and can channel their energy into impactful projects, given the right strategies and support. Creating a structured yet flexible schedule can mitigate feelings of anxiety, allowing for both productivity and rest. Tools such as to-do lists, reminders, and scheduled breaks can transform a seemingly chaotic day into a more manageable experience. Ultimately, while the journey may be filled with ups and downs, understanding ADD and leveraging resources can lead to a fulfilling life that celebrates one's unique strengths.
