I know it’s simultaneously so challenging and so rewarding, just remember it won’t last forever and what we do now matters. These months and years are so crucial for their development, and even though it may stress us out sometimes, it’s important for them to learn how to be independent.

As summer approaches, parents of young children face unique challenges and opportunities for growth. One important aspect to remember is that mistakes are a natural part of learning. Allow your children the space to make mistakes; after all, this helps them build confidence and independence. Encourage sensory play, even if it gets messy—dirt is washable and these experiences are crucial for development. Also, be mindful of how quickly childhood passes. Make the most of every moment, as these stages will not last forever. Many parents find it bittersweet to watch their children grow, and it’s important to savor each phase. Emphasize positive interactions, stay patient during stressful times, and engage in activities that reinforce their learning and growth. Remember, these summer moments, while challenging, are also some of the most rewarding you'll experience in your parenting journey.
My daughter has level 1 autism and ADHD, always on the go from the time her eyeballs pop open. This will be my first real summer as a mommy of 2, so im excited but also nervous.
