TRUE ME
Writing poetry and creating music have always been my go-to methods for coping with intense emotions. There are moments when the weight of sadness and rage feels overwhelming, almost like being trapped inside a personal prison or cage that’s hard to escape. I often find myself staring out the window, sleepless through the night, wrestling with thoughts that refuse to let go. One of the hardest things to admit is how often I bottle up my feelings. It's like putting on makeup to hide the true turmoil beneath – painting a brave face even when inside, tears and pain are pushing to break free. This kind of emotional masking is something many people experience but few openly talk about. Through writing, I try to slice into those bottled emotions, to give them a voice and make sense of the chaos inside my mind. Whether it’s crafting a poem or syncing words with music, these creative outlets provide a way to channel sadness and anger into something tangible and, at times, healing. Sharing these personal creations also sparks connection with others who might be going through similar struggles. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck inside your own emotional prison, know that you’re not alone. Sometimes, the simple act of putting feelings into words or melodies can lighten the burden. It’s a reminder that while we might feel like no one understands, expressing ourselves truly helps to break down the walls built by our pain and opens the door to hope and healing.
