But I’ve learned that dedicating even 30 minutes to exercise can profoundly impact how I feel throughout the day. It’s in those moments at the gym where I allow myself to disconnect from outside distractions and focus entirely on my body and mind. What truly stands out is the mental health boost. Physical activity releases endorphins that help combat anxiety and depressive moods. Beyond the chemistry, the discipline and accomplishment of sticking to a routine foster a strong sense of self-worth. This is especially powerful after postpartum, when reclaiming fitness feels like reclaiming identity. The hashtag #WomenWhoLift resonates deeply, as lifting weights has empowered me physically and mentally. Strength training not only sculpts the body but also builds resilience and confidence. Plus, engaging with communities who share similar journeys provides encouragement and motivation. In summary, turning 36 has transformed my fitness journey from a grind into a mindful practice.
