It’s that deep…
From my own experience, I've found that the relationship we build with God can truly be a lifeline, especially when we face moments of uncertainty or crisis. Like when someone is suddenly in a hospital or experiencing turbulence on a plane, it's often the first instinct to turn towards prayer and seek comfort in faith. What resonates deeply with me is how this relationship isn't something superficial or casual; it requires commitment and can come with its own set of spiritual challenges. However, the rewards far outweigh the difficulties. Personally, I've had phases where my connection with God felt distant, like acquaintances who share a brief moment but don't really interact deeply. It wasn't until I found myself in situations where I had no one else to turn to that I truly leaned in—heart and soul—to faith. That turning point redefined everything. It was no longer about casual greetings or fleeting thoughts but about sincere communication and reliance. Setting aside dedicated time daily to pray and reflect has been crucial. These moments of honesty and vulnerability have strengthened my spirituality and helped me navigate pain, confusion, and identity struggles. I also realized that a spiritual journey involves ongoing dedication. It means acknowledging that it's "that deep"—not something to be taken lightly or dismissed. When I hear others say, "It ain't that deep," I think they're underestimating the profound impact faith can have on shaping our lives, marriages, families, and personal growth. The spiritual warfare mentioned often feels real—external pressures and internal doubts try to shake our faith. But embracing this relationship builds resilience and peace. For anyone feeling disconnected or uninspired in their faith, I encourage intentionally seeking moments to engage with God fully—whether through prayer, reading, or simply being still. Most importantly, this journey taught me that the relationship with God comes first, above all worldly distractions. It's the foundation on which everything else stands. Trusting Him through every trial has been the most rewarding and transformative experience of my life. So if you ever think your connection doesn’t matter or it’s "not that deep," I invite you to explore it more intentionally and personally—you might find it changes everything.
